Our Sequoia Bresse
We start our chicks on Modesto Milling Organic Chick Starter.
After they are several weeks old and large enough to survive predators, our chicks are free to roam and forage. The grassy hills of our property are plentiful with a variety of grasses and insects. We continue to supplement their diets with Modesto Milling Broiler Grower.
Our goal is to improve our Sequoia Bresse for health and vigor with our seed fowl. Through a closed flock breeding program, we intend to maintain, improve, and preserve this heritage breed for future generations.
What you can expect from us:
- The eggs are from birds of good quality stock, who have been humanely raised and are disease free.
- The eggs have been handled and securely packaged properly to ensure good hatchability.
- The eggs will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail with special handling instructions and insurance (if available from USPS).
- When the eggs are shipped, we will notify you and provide a tracking number.
What we expect from you:
- You will provide daily care and monitor the incubator and the eggs throughout the incubation period.
Our 100% Guarantee
For a limited time, we are offering a 100% guarantee that at least 10 eggs will hatch. As a courtesy, we will include 2 extra eggs in the shipment at no charge to fulfill the guarantee.
You can tell if a chicken egg is fertilized by candling it. Hold the egg over a bright light (flashlight or candler) in a dark room. The egg is fertilized if it has veins and a mass on the inside. If you check the eggs and there are any cracks or the eggs aren’t fertilized, please take a photo of each numbered egg and email us within 72 hours of delivery of the shipment.
